Hi I'm Emily!

I'm a landscape and commercial photographer currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, I spent my early years exploring the outdoors and discovering photography. Those experiences sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the world around me and shaped both my creative perspective and the photographer I've become today.

Through both my personal and professional work, I'm drawn to creating images that are intentional, emotionally engaging, and rooted in thoughtful storytelling. Whether I'm standing on a mountaintop before sunrise or collaborating with a client in the studio, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that make people pause, feel something, and see the world a little differently.

My love for photography started long before I ever owned a professional camera.

Growing up in California, I spent countless weekends exploring the coast, forests, and mountains with my family. Being outdoors taught me to appreciate the beauty of the natural world, but over time I realized what fascinated me most wasn't simply the landscape itself, but the moments within it that so easily go unnoticed.

I've always been drawn to the small details. The way light slips through the trees for only a few seconds. The texture of weathered rock. A reflection that disappears as quickly as it appeared. Photography became my way of preserving those fleeting moments and sharing the perspective I see with others. I love slowing down, paying attention, and finding beauty in places or moments that people might otherwise walk right past.

For me, photography has never been about documenting a location. It's about telling the story of a place and inviting others to experience it the way I did. Every photograph is an opportunity to capture not only what was there, but what it felt like to stand there.

Where I Am Today

Today I'm based in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I work as a commercial photographer at RHP Productions, a professional production studio creating imagery for food, beverage, lifestyle, and consumer brands.

I love the collaborative nature of commercial photography. Every project brings a new creative challenge and the opportunity to work alongside talented people to transform an idea into something visual. From lighting and styling to composition and post-production, I enjoy every step of the creative process and the problem-solving that comes with it. It's an environment that continually pushes me to grow, refine my craft, and think differently with every project.

Outside of photography, I'm happiest when I'm exploring. I love hiking, camping, rock climbing, skateboarding, discovering new cities, and traveling whenever I have the chance. I'm naturally drawn to creative pursuits, whether that's painting, reading, or simply finding inspiration in everyday life. I believe every experience, every place, and every conversation has something to teach us, and that curiosity is something I carry with me both behind the camera and beyond it.
